Flamingo Fire

acrylic on canvas, 48" X 20"

Thousands upon thousands of flamingoes descend upon the Makgadikgadi Pans of Northern Botswana as the summer rains renew the shallow lakes. Building their mud nests far off shore, the enormous number of birds sets the horizon on fire with a pink fluorescent glow.

This painting was stolen off the wall of Terra Gallery in 2014. If you know who has it, please contact me or the gallery.
