Crows wrestling the hurricane

13" X 18" - acrylic on Mi Tientes board

An Aboriginal myth tells of the destructive power of the East Wind - the Hurricane. The crow is believed to have the power to capture this wind and imprison it in a hollow log. Of course, logs decay and the wind can escape - which is why we continue to have hurricanes. Then it is up to the crows to once again brave the storm to wrestle the wind back into its prison.
