The canvas remained unfinished for 5 years; the thought that Deb and I might do a collaborative piece. Then a late winter trip to the Bahamas brought the old island feeling bubbling up to the surface again. The striped canvas came out of storage, with the idea for colorful cabanas being provided by a small watercolor I completed on the trip.
