Warm days with tropical breezes, and Caribbean waters - it doesn't get any better than this.

I really like how this painting came out. The warm flesh tones of the relaxing maiden contrast wonderfully with the cool ocean colors, the grass, and the dappled shadows. The purple of the horizon links to the purple shadows. The weight of the composition is offset far to the right, but is kept in dynamic balance by the cantilevered effect of the main tree branch and it's shadow. The subtle shadowing on the water and the wavelets lapping the beach keep the visual interest strong. It's a mood piece that simply says "I want to be there."
